Treat Yo’ Self
One of the simplest ways I take care of myself is by getting my nails done. My hands are always in my line of sight. I use them every day, every second, so it matters to me that my nails feel clean, cared for, and a little creative. They’ve become a small but meaningful way for me to express my personality.
Finding a nail place where I feel comfortable, understood, and confident that I’ll walk out with exactly what I asked for has always been important. When I sit down in that chair, it feels like a tiny reset.
Treating yourself doesn’t always mean buying dessert or grabbing a coffee. Sometimes it’s doing something small that’s just for you, something that supports your mental health, your physical well‑being, or simply brings you joy. For me, getting my nails done has become one of those monthly rituals.
It might seem simple, but it genuinely makes me feel more put together. I’ve also noticed that when my nails are done, I’m far less likely to pick at my cuticles. When I’m stressed or anxious, I tend to do that without even realizing it, and it can get pretty bad. Keeping my nails done has actually helped me break that habit.
I also love that gel polish can be applied directly to natural nails. I don’t use acrylics or extensions; I focus on keeping my natural nails healthy while still enjoying the creativity of colors and designs. That’s one of my favorite parts: the tiny details, the shades, the patterns. It’s a small form of self‑expression that feels personal and fun.
Here’s the set I got this month.
I’ll keep sharing new designs as I try them. If you have ideas or favorite styles, I’m always open to inspiration. I love experimenting with color. This is my once‑a‑month treat. I usually pair it with getting my eyebrows done and sometimes a pedicure. These little routines help me reset and take care of myself in a way that feels intentional.
Treating yourself doesn’t have to be extravagant. Sometimes it’s just creating a small ritual that reminds you to slow down and take care of yourself.
